Privacy Policy

Effective: 25/05/2026

Omega Paints and Projects Pty Ltd (ABN 31 007 187 402), trading as Omega Paints & Projects (“OPPS”, “we”, “our”, “us”), respects your privacy. We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information. This Privacy Policy does not apply to employee records held by OPPS. We do not collect sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act 1988 — for example, information about health, race, religion or sexual orientation) through our website.

Dealing with us anonymously

You can make an enquiry to OPPS anonymously or under a pseudonym where it is lawful and practicable for us to deal with you in that way. In some cases, we may not be able to respond properly to an anonymous enquiry — for example, if we need to contact you back with information about a specific order or trade account.

What personal information we collect

Through our website, we collect personal information that you provide to us directly via our contact form. This typically includes:

- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number (where provided)
- The name of your company or organisation (where provided)
- The content of your enquiry

We do not collect payment information, credit card details, credit application data or online order data through our website.

We may also collect personal information about you in the course of our business with you outside the website — for example, when you contact us by phone or email, when you place an order through our usual business processes, or when you apply for a trade account. Personal information collected by any means is handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

How and why we use your personal information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

- To respond to your enquiries and provide information about our products and services.
- To manage our ongoing relationship with you as a customer, supplier or business contact.
- To send you marketing communications, where you have opted in or where we are otherwise permitted by law.
- To comply with our legal obligations.

Who has access to your personal information

Personal information you provide to us may be accessed by:

- Authorised OPPS personnel.
- Other entities within the Omega Industries group, where necessary for the purposes described above.
- Third-party service providers who help us operate our business, including providers of website hosting, email, customer relationship management and IT support. Where we provide personal information to service providers, we require them to handle it in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy and the Australian Privacy Principles. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.

Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers, such as cloud hosting and email providers, may store data on servers located outside Australia. Because these providers operate globally, we are not always able to identify in advance every country in which personal information may be stored. Where personal information is transferred overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure that the recipient handles it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies — small files placed on your device by your browser — to help the site function properly, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors interact with the site. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, but doing so may affect how parts of our website work for you.

Marketing

If we use your contact details to send you marketing communications, every communication will include an option to unsubscribe. You can also ask us to stop sending you marketing material at any time by contacting us at info@omegapaintsandprojects.com.au.

Accessing and correcting your personal information

You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. To make a request, please contact us at info@omegapaintsandprojects.com.au.

We will respond to your request within a reasonable time, generally within 30 days. In limited circumstances, we may decline a request — for example, where giving access would interfere with another person’s privacy. If we decline, we will tell you the reason in writing.

How we keep your personal information secure

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. These steps include secure storage, restricted access, and standard online security measures.

If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm to any individual, we will comply with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act 1988 — which means notifying the affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as soon as practicable.

Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles or otherwise mishandled your personal information, please contact us at info@omegapaintsandprojects.com.au. We will respond to your complaint within a reasonable time, generally within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available on our website.

This Privacy Policy was last updated on 25/05/2026.
